There are several ways to reach Boracay Island. I will assume that you are in Manila where most tourists land at Manila airport, or stay in Manila for a few days before going elsewhere.
How to reach Boracay?

As seen in the map , Boracay is located south of Manila, near Calibu city (the capital of the Malay island) , central Philippines. It is so small that it looks like an invisible dot. It belongs to Caticlan city and , separated by a 15-minutes boat ride.
Manila to Boracay by plane
The distance from Manila airport to Caticlan airport (Boracay airport) is about one hour by plane. Of course , traveling by plane is the best and fastest to go from Manila to Boracay. Plane tickets are 3000 to 5,000 pesos for one way trip. There is no other option which is as easy and fast . Actually, there are other routs to reach Boracay by land and sea for those who want to enjoy the road while traveling by land and then by sea several times. You can reach Boracay from Manila via Mindoro Island, where you have to use boat (RoRo) twice. First starts from Batangas Port to Mindoro, then the second from Mindoro to Boracay.
So the best way go Boracay , is to fly is from Manila airport to Calibu Airport or Caticlan Airport (also called Boracay Airport). Usually, the flight to Calibu is cheaper, but you have to get another ride by bus to Boracay for 2 hours or more. There are several airlines flying to Boracay, including the Philippines PAL , Cebu Pacific, and Air Asia.
An example of plane prices from Manila to Caticlan airport is shown in the image above. The ticket for June 16, 2016 – return after 3 days. plane prices are higher now than usual, as plane tickets increased significantly from April 2019 , about 20-30 percent more than they were before.
From Manila to Boracay by bus!
Many of you do not know that you can go to Boracay by land, taking the bus available daily from stations in Manila such as (Copao) and (Pasay) stations , which is good for those with limited budget. Recently , the plane tickets are soaring, so choosing bus is a good alternative, especially for those who find fun to travel long time passing different cities, mountains and seas.
There are many bus companies operating in Cubao and Pasay. This is a rather difficult option. It’s a four-step route. Try to enjoy all the cities and villages, mountains , seas and lands. The trip is a tour full of breathtaking scenery, so do not miss it.
First, take the bus from Kobao (or Pasay) to Batangas Port, about two hours trip (depending on the traffic). Then from Port Batangas, there is a two to three hour cruise through the RoRo ferry to Calapan port, in Mindoro. From there, it takes two to three hours to travel to Roxas (K Roxas) by land. Another vessel takes you to the port of Caticlan, in a 4-hour trip, till Boracay.
While the entire trip from Manila to Boracay inusing this way (boats and land transport) may be cumbersome, the bright side is that you can pass places other than your destination, it is a multi-destination trip.
