MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte recently signed the law creating the Philippines science agency – PhilSA. Singing the law was done on August 8.
Signing the law means The Philippines will become more active in the space technology and race.
The new government office will be the Executive Branch of the government that will plan, develop, and promote the national space program in line with the Philippine Space Policy.
It will focus on national security and development; hazard management and climate studies; space research and development; space industry capacity building; space education and awareness; and international cooperation for development of science and technology applications to ensure the country’s sustained progress.
