MANILA, Philippines— The Department of Foreign Affairs on Monday confirmed that an overseas Filipino worker fell to her death in United Arab Emirates last week.
The Filipina worker died in the United Arab Emirates after falling off the third floor of a building in Ajman last week, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in the Philippines said on Monday. The DFA did not identify the Filipina, but said she was 22 years old.
“The incident happened on November 23 and that the Filipina was declared dead upon arrival at the Sheikh Khalifa Hospital” ; as per Consul General Paul Raymond Cortes of the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.
“Consul General Cortes said the Consulate General is in touch with the relatives of the deceased and is closely coordinating with Ajman authorities in the investigation of her death and in the repatriation of her remains,” the DFA said.
