I’ve been here in the Philippines for 17 years, from 2002 till now. Married a Filipino and have kids. I Owned condos and apartments for my family and for rent. Before expats like myself just couldn’t do certain things of go to certain places without straight up disappearing.
Currently, I’ve gone in and out of poor places im Metro manila and other places even spent the night on mountains; everywhere, Manila, Davao and General Santos out of the city parts in the bush Been way up in the mountains of Cebu and Leyte. and never ever had a problem.
Is Philippines dangerous?
So the answer in my eyes is No, it is completely the opposite. The Philippines is now much safer than anytime before.
